Blood Tales was an Action RPG made for a mobile first audience that was trying to push the bar of quality on what had been done on mobile back then graphically and even combat design/feel wise.
The footage above only shows a small part of the early development of the game.
I worked on the game as a Senior->Lead Engineer pushing it from a prototype with a tiny team of just one programmer and a couple artists to the point where we got publishers interested and got funding to make it a full fledged game and grow the team to about 20-25 developers.
Sadly, the game never got released due to a bunch of unfortunate circumstances and we ended up pivoting to Rival: Crimson X Chaos. The core gameplay/scripting engine however translated well to the next game.
